Something For Everyone October 25, 2009 Rota57 (NJ) I am a student teacher/art education and used this book during my student teaching with third and fifth grade students. The "Crazy Cactus" project turned out beautifully as well as the still life project based on Vincent Van Gogh. This is my favorite project book so far because of the step-by-step instructions and illustrations including examples of student work. Only drawback is that some of the projects are too complex for the school environment but might be great for an after-school art enrichment program.
Must have for Art Teachers! September 12, 2009 Marcelle M. Brown (Austin, TX) The projects in this book are a must have! My students love them! I highly recommend this product especially for art teachers!
Art Book July 23, 2009 A. Umanzor (Houston, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wouldn't recommend this book for elementary students, in some of the projects you need to use materials that are not children safe. For example, a mat knife or spray paint! I personally like my students to do projects on their own without my assistance "Especially, if I have a class full of students!". But, they are a some that their is no need to use this kind of materials that I am sure I will be doing with some of my 4th graders.
Great resource for art teachers June 16, 2009 Gym Angel (Arizona,USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a keeper! The Art lessons are suitable for instruction aligned with other subjects. Art instruction spans a full range of topics including, art elements and language, techniques, history, famous artists, science and math concepts. Love the step-by-step directions, with pictures of art projects in progress. The book is sturdy and spiral bound. Finally something to assist new art teachers!
Best project book June 3, 2009 E. Weaver (Spring, TX) This book is awesome. I have other art project books, but this one is by far the best I have ever used for teaching art to children. I Highly recommend this book.
