Customer Reviews:
1 out of 5 stars Average Level   December 4, 2009

The book is ~good on general, regarding level is quite average, not pro alike. Code Examples are incomplete.

3 out of 5 stars Well done.   August 29, 2009

The book is a good detailed overview of BizTalk 2009 and it definitely is for people who want to be professional users of the product. The content was fine grained enough for people who want to understand the inner workings of BizTalk 2009. It contains plenty of information for out-the-box usage as well as how to create custom extensions, adapters, etc.

However, one big downside for me is that the code samples in the book are all in VB.NET which I find annoying as a C# developer. So, I skipped all of those. Also, I wish Amazon explained this fact before I purchased the book so I could have made a better decision.

1 out of 5 stars EDI Chapter Missing!   August 27, 2009

Despite the description, there is no EDI chapter in this book. Page 9 references EDI in Chapter 14, with HIS as Chapter 16 and ESBT as Chapter 16. Apparently, the EDI chapter was removed, and the product description was never updated. HIS is Chapter 14 and ESBT is Chapter 15, there is no Chapter 16. The table of contents in the book is correct, but there's no TOC view at this time in Amazon.

So if you need EDI, this is not the book for you.
