KnockOut by Catherine Coulter February 15, 2010 Mary N. Marcum (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a fan of all the FBI Thriller Series by Catherine Coulter. However, KnockOut failed to fulfill the standard of story telling I have grown to expect from Catherine. It seemed to me that she should have simply written two separate books. The book went back and forth from one storyline to the next so often and so fast that I felt dizzy. I thought each of her storylines could have made a good book. But to put them together under one title was distracting. It was tiring just thinking of Savich and Sherlock and all the traveling they did from Washington, D.C. to the South. Also...any number of times during the book both the FBI and the local police forces seemed rather inept. I was very disappointed in this book and, needless to say, was happy when I finished it. I'm sad not to have her next book in this series to look forward to.
Greedy Author February 13, 2010 J. Giles (USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
No way in heck I would pay $14.82 for this or any other book. I like Ann but not when she gets greedy!
Bring back the $9.99 books for my Kindle!!!
PUBLISHER RIPOFF February 12, 2010 Neil L. Cohen 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Charging 15.00 for an electronically delivered e-book is a complete ripoff. This may be a good book, but the publisher is doing a disservice to Ms. Coulter.
"Knockout": An insult to readers February 12, 2010 NeverEnoughBooks (New Mexico, USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Knockout? Try "punch drunk." Only someone who had sustained repeated blows to the head would be willing to pay $5 more for the Kindle edition than the paper back edition. Does this author and this publisher have so low opinion of us that they believe that we are so stupid as to pay 50% more for the kindle edition than the real book? Frankly, I won't be buying either one. In fact, I will never buy another book written by Catherine Coulter. Her unwarranted arrogance is astounding, and her work nothing more than boiler plate.
Too expensive February 12, 2010 Annette Griessman (IN, USA) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
I had an interest in purchasing this book, but the Kindle version is just too expensive. I'm on a limited budget, and there are plenty of other books that are available to me at a better price.
