Another sparkling gem from the master Mo Willems. When a sudden rain storm threatens Gerald and Piggie's fun day in the outdoors, what do good friends do? The illustrations are as moving and hilarious as ever and the lesson is charming. Great read-aloud.

I can NOT get enough of Elephant and Piggie.
Piggie's crushing despair as she explains, in small text, that she is "not a happy pig". Elephant's sweet solution to the lack of rain. The worms, splishing in the puddles!
Simple - but exciting - text for beginning readers, and hysterical illustrations. What's not to love?

We have 6 Mo Willems books and my daughter wants to read each one every night. She loves the the elephant and piggie books. This one is really cute. I prefer "My Friend Is Sad" but this is a great one to read especially if it's raining outside.

My grandsons adore these two characters and found this one a favorite. The pig's expressions are fabulous. Piggie learns to have fun in the rain with his friend Elephant.

I love all of Mo Willems childrens books, especially the Elephant and Piggie books. they are great for beginner readers and fun for parents to read. simple, funny, sweet. Thanks Mo your books are so refreshing!!
