Product Description Perfect for the beginner: This is the definitive guide to learning—and mastering—the Tarot quickly & easily. Unique, fun, easy-to-learn exercises teach you how to hear what the cards are trying to tell you. This is not yet another book of Tarot card meanings. How boring is that? You start hands-on learning immediately, playing with your Tarot cards as they reveal the future to you. The difference between average Tarot readers and masters is their ability to hear their inner voice, and see how card meanings adapt to the question being asked. We help you instinctively see exactly how cards blend, influence, and aspect other cards, and how to answer ANY question, even if you have never picked up a deck. Moreover, the entire book is a workbook: Almost every page is interactive, explaining a process and having you jot down your impressions of each sample card and reading. There simply is no better—or easier—way to learn! Best of all, the book comes with FREE complete online support.

Great book for beginners and those who've read for years November 23, 2009 MystikalRose (Long Beach, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is very informative, no matter what level you are at. For the beginner the descriptions and explanations are easy to grasp, and if you have been a reader for some time the explanations allow you to see the cards in a different light. In addition, having the book as a work-book only ensures the reader that what they are learning will be easier to retain, and their own interpretations of the cards will be seen as valid. I strongly recommend this book to someone just beginning to read the Tarot.
Amazing - I didn't think I could do this November 21, 2009 Cathy Haye (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An incredible, fantastic, well written and user-friendly book. The author breaks down and dispels that wall of mystery surrounding Tarot Reading as being something that only select individuals can do.
The exercises really do help a person to open up their own insight to read their Tarot cards. Previously, I've been intimidated by my Tarot deck, believing the teachers who told me that it's hard to read Tarot and that you won't be able to read Tarot unless your deck likes you. I gained the impression that I need some sort of mystical force before I could ever read Tarot.
Since reading the book and beginning to try out the exercises, I find I am less fearful of my deck than I was since I first bought it.
Dusty White puts to rest the concept of needing a special connection to your deck to be a reader while dispelling some of the myths that have grown to surround Tarot. He provides interesting background information about the Tarot deck through history while not being overly focused on the historical aspects only. The way the book is laid out is easy to follow and use. I am enjoying this book and what I am learning from it and my Tarot deck.
I just wish there was a similar book for Astrology.
The Title Says it All!!! November 15, 2009 Sarah Martin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In reading this book, I can tell you that this is the easiest way to learn tarot. I have been practicing on my own for about a year and have had minimal luck with the connection. This book has it all to make those skills stronger. The author writes TO the person as if they were standing right there with you in the room giving you a step by step process.
Besides the book being an easy read for all, the book is set up as a training guide and as such has exercises that strengthen your skills and acts as a workbook taking you step by step through each card in the deck. Sticking to the exercises really makes this learning process stress free and the author gives you support throughout the ENTIRE book, and with an online support system.....what else could you ask for??
This really couldn't be a better read and guide to learning the tarot. In reading many books along the year I have studied this is by far the best book I have come across and I feel very blessed to have found this book and am happy to write this review. A definite buy for anyone interested in learning the tarot in an effective way!
Thank you Dusty for a great book and learning tool!!!

It really is the easiest way to learn the tarot October 30, 2009 Christopher A. Lung (Long Beach, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It really is the easiest way to learn the tarot. This book by Dusty White is a practical how-to guide on learning tarot cards for giving readings. Rather then focusing on the meanings of cards from any particular practice, Mr. White encourages the reader to develop his own meanings for cards, and to learn how to see them from a practical viewpoint as a story unfolding before you. The method he lays down is easy and approachable, whether you are a complete neophyte to tarot, or well versed in tarot lore, but looking to develop it as a practical skill. His methods also translate well into other methods of sortilege, whether they are runes, I-Ching, other versions of cartomancy, or personal systems, you can expand use his exercises to become a more proficient reader.
Mr. White has also made an online community for the book, giving people who may not have much exposure, or feel they have no contact with other interested people, a way to meet, share, and learn from others who are more experienced in the practical application of Tarot.
Part of the book is the 30 day plan to develop your skills with the Tarot. During those 30 days, you will routinely practice reading cards, not for yourself, but as an exercise in seeing how the tarot can unfold stories, make connections, and reveal patterns. Starting with simple 1 card exercises, which help you to understand the card on a more personal level, seeing what is going on in the card as a story, then going deeper into the card, as you explore story. After that, you begin to move towards two card exercises, building off looking at one card each for two people, then two cards as a story progressing, and then two cards combined into a single scene. This is further built up to 3 cards, first as independent forces, then in a progression, then in combining them into one meaning. This lays the basis for repeated practice for the reader, as you can return to these exercises daily, as a way to keep your skills of perception and intuition sharp. From these, he then explores some more common tarot layouts that are very useful, from the common Celtic cross, to a time layout with a 12 part division, to a variety of yes or no layouts to answer simple questions. As these are all composed from the foundation of 1, 2 and 3 card interpretations, and can be further developed using 2 or 3 card to open up a particular section of the reading, they are very helpful. He also gives instructions on how to ascertain timing for events revealed in readings.
At the end of the book, Mr. White then gives a series of pages for readers and students to make notes about their understanding of the Tarot, as well as cheat sheets with multiple meanings for Tarot cards, derived from the multitude of sources.
Mr. White writes this whole book from an experienced viewpoint into reading Tarot, as well as being fun and lighthearted. He even suggests fun things to do with Tarot cards, from giving text bubbles to the characters, to playing card games, or even adding a bit of stage magic glamour. The whole book is written in a very approachable and entertaining way.
