5 out of 5 stars Very well organized and useful information   October 9, 2009

This book consists of 100 important things or remember for the SAT I Math. I was surprised how informative this book is.

I am an SAT Math I tutor, and not only did this book help me to review what I know, but also gave me the idea to plan to teach well. Each section provides certain parts to review and comes with example questions, from easy, medium, to hard questions. This is great, since the SAT I math questions are listed from easy to hard questions in each section, so the students must be prepared for easy questions to hard questions on each topic. In the back of the book, there is a list of all of 100 important topics covered in the entire book. After you finish the sections with sample questions on each topic, it would be a smart idea to copy that section and carry it around to memorize. There are also 2 practice tests at the end.

Some people has said that Kaplan is the easiest kind of review book out there. While I can't tell whether this is true or not, this book certainly covers all of what you need to know for the SAT I Math. There is no reason for this book to give hard questions. There are other books for that. This book really isn't for you to get the questions and answer them. You probably want to grab a College Board Practice Test books, or something of that sort. This book provides INFORMATION and DESCRIPTIVE explanations to questions and answers, which you absolutely need for the SAT I.

Along with this book, I use The New Math SAT Game Plan by Philip Keller, which is another excellent book to review SAT I Math. This book covers the important math topics, while The New Math SAT Game Plan covers "PLANNING" for SAT I Math and "HOW" to take the SAT I Math. I recommend both!

Also- for the reviewer who posted about the seller... Please, realize what you're reviewing first. In the book review section, please only review the book. You can review the seller in the seller review section.

2 out of 5 stars very upsetting   October 6, 2009

I was happy with the delivery- it came only a few days after I had ordered it. However, the seller had written that it was in very good condition, so I assumed that it would have very little writing in it. Boy was I mistaken. I can't even take any of the practice tests because there is so much writing in it. Also, a lot of the writing is in pen, so it's not even erasable! I use the book to study the basic math concepts, but if I want to take the test, I will have to borrow a book at the public library.

4 out of 5 stars Useful drills!   April 22, 2009

Quite a useful book to provide a set of drills around common SAT problems. There are really no tutorials in there so wouldn't recommend it as a book to learn from. personally thought the structure around how the topics were broken up and then the questions within the topics [Easy/Medium/Hard] made it very approachable..my 13 year old went thru it pretty quickly and found it useful to highlight areas to work on.
