It's great to carry around and study. Also awesome for reviewing if you don't want to go through your piles of notes and books. Just pull this out and flip it open to what you want to look at. It's got a picture and all the significant details. I love it. Just for background. I am using it for my anatomy course in physician assistant school. Hope this helps.

If you have a gross anatomy lab where you are identifying prosected cadavers there is no better way to study than sight recognition. The cards were however slightly incomplete with some of the more specific structures mentioned in the text, not specifically mentioned in the note cards. Nothing a little ball point editing can't fix! Sufficient for first year of medical/graduate school anatomy but probably not beyond.

The Netter anatomy flash cards are helping me get through my anatomy class. They are labeled in a easy way to read and test yourself. I highly reccommend these flash cards to anyone going for physical therapy or nursing.

When comparing the Netter's flash cards to another product, like the Gray's, the Netter's by far have more detail for each card. The origin, insertion, and innervation of each muscle or structure are listed, as well as comments related to positioning in the body and functional relevance. Each structure is assigned an arrow with a number, so you can look at the card, state what the structure for number 3 is, and then check with the back of the card to see if you're right. So, for students interested in a very thorough review of the musculature and a good pictorial guide to location, these cards are great. They have a very complete list of nerves, muscles, vasculature, bones, and organs divided up into a logical regional review.
The bad parts of the cards are as follows: Occasionally they can be a bit busy, especially when they have several arrows pointing to different parts of a structure with only one corresponding number/answer (e.g. the superior, middle, and inferior lobe of the right lung). It would be nice if they had broken each structure into its own arrow/number. Secondly, while they do list origin, insertion, and innervation of each muscle, no mention is ever made of arterial or venous connections. Adding the vasculature would have made for more complete cards.
In summary, these are probably some of the best cards on the market, but hopefully are tweaked slightly in their next edition.
