Product Description
We’ve all heard stories of people who’ve experienced seemingly miraculous recoveries from illness, but can the same thing happen for our world? According to pioneering biologist Bruce H. Lipton, it’s not only possible, it’s already occurring. In Spontaneous Evolution, this world-renowned expert in the emerging science of epigenetics reveals how our changing understanding of biology will help us navigate this turbulent period in our planet’s history and how each of us can participate in this global shift. In collaboration with political philosopher Steve Bhaerman, Dr. Lipton invites readers to reconsider: · the “unquestionable” pillars of biology, including random evolution, survival of the fittest, and the role of DNA; · the relationship between mind and matter; · how our beliefs about nature and human nature shape our politics, culture, and individual lives; and · how each of us can become planetary “stem cells” supporting the health and growth of our world. By questioning the old beliefs that got us to where we are today and keep us stuck in the status quo, we can trigger the spontaneous evolution of our species that will usher in a brighter future. |

Excellent book November 19, 2009 Michael Clifford (Rio Rancho, NM) This is a well written book with many good messages within. I have not finished it yet, as it is good deep reading. But so far I love it
Spontaneous Evolution November 14, 2009 Richard D. Mclaughlin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a groundbreaking work that everyone on this planet should read and understand. If we as a people do not get on board with the change suggested in this book we will become extinct. There is going to be peace on earth, I only hope that human beings are here to enjoy it!
Should be REQUIRED reading! November 5, 2009 H. T. Morgan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an amazing book by two very sincere authors. I had read Bruce Lipton's earlier book, Biology of Belief, liked it, and took a chance on this latest one. So many books about the direction the world is headed just present the problems with vague "remedies" or don't analyze why and how we've gotten to this precarious stage of evolution. Many other books are good in their summaries, but are too bleak in their outlook, without giving much hope that humanity will survive! I thought I knew most of the information presented in this book, but the authors' extensive research added immensely to my knowledge of historical influences and epigenetics in a most enlightening way. My spouse is now reading this book because I couldn't help but stop to read sections of it so we could discuss some of the "myth perceptions" that helped explain the background of some commonly held beliefs that are truly hindering real solutions. This book helps to empower the individual to change the situation NOW, and to follow through. One's creativity is peaked to contribute more solutions, and by becoming aware that we actually can participate individually in the solution is very motivating. The book is quite up-beat for such a serious subject and there is definitely some humor in it. Included is a great list of resources and suggestions as an aid for following up with helpful intentions. This was a good matching of co-authors. Kudos to them both!
Brilliant and inspiring! November 2, 2009 Janna Raye (Sonoma Valley, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Spontaneous Evolution is an amazing compendium of knowledge, new-edge science, and wisdom. The basal paradigms that Lipton and Bhaerman identify as the foundations for human belief system eras are brilliantly presented and organized for clarity. They illustrate how we got to "here" and how we can get to a safer, happier "there" through a spontaneous awakening that is a possibility of expanded human awareness.
Especially of interest is their recounting of the influence of Native Americans, in particular the Iroquois Confederacy, on the United States Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation. Our nation's founding really was revolutionary, yet we have strayed so far from these founding principles by allowing special interests to supersede our collective goals.
Not only have we been hoodwinked into becoming a nation of debtors (not the goal of our Founding Fathers, by the way), we have also been led to believe we are fragile beings at the mercy of Nature, which we must subdue and conquer in order to survive. Lipton and Bhaerman provide insights from new-edge science that reveal the opposite: we are powerful beings capable of self-healing and regeneration, and the sooner we stop ingesting harmful pharmaceuticals and instead embrace a healthy mind and diet, the healthier we will be as individuals and a collective.
Fixing our personal and national health, both financially and physically, requires releasing outdated beliefs based on old paradigmatic thinking that arose from limited human knowledge and experience. We know better now, and we have a road map to a brighter future, thanks to Spontaneous Evolution!
Evolution of cell biology November 1, 2009 Robert Houston (Torrance, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bruce Lipton's thorough trip into the evolution of cell biology makes much more sense than Darwin's theorys. His projection of the future of humanity is outstanding. I bought two more books for my sons.
