At first glance it seems like great info on certification exam for AANP and ANCC, but from page 1 of the review there are many errors. luckily I am nearing the end of my FNP program and I knew enough to know they were errors. I stopped reading right away so that I would not be misled. Please do not buy this book!

Layout is good, material clear and concise. One annoyance is that it does not list details on certain topics (i.e. contraindications) and instead states "and so forth", which doesn't help much.

Recently, I spoke with the author (Maria Leik) on the phone to tell her that I passed my FNP exam. I told her that I was going to write a testimonial for her book (I think it helped me pass the test), so she asked me to please pass on this message. Here goes...
She said that the errors on both the ANP and FNP Intensive Review Books have been CORRECTED in a new printing by Springer Publishing. The books that are now being sold on AMAZON (and other vendors) are in their latest editions with NO ERRORS. She said to make "sure that you purchase a 'new'copy!!!".

This book helped me pass my FNP exam. I found out about this book from several classmates who also used this book and passed. Two of my classmates (who also took her review course) said that Maria told them that the current book is the 2nd printing (apparently the first batch sold out!) and to pass the word that the errors have been corrected. They loved her review course too [...].
The book gives you really specific tips on the questions to expect on the test (and yes, they really did show up).I think NP students in their first year may also find this book helpful because it explains things really well. I highly recommend this review book.

I PASSED the AANP exam! Excellent resource to study for the FNP exam. I also recommend taking her live review course, it is complete and to the point. She has had 100% pass in most of her classes ( n p r e v i e w. c o m). If you can't make it to her review I also recommend for you to get the Fitzgerald review and her Audio CDs. Make sure you study for at least a couple of months before the test. Good Luck!
