Product Description
Janeway's Immunobiology, Seventh Edition is an introductory text for use in immunology courses for undergraduates, graduate students and medical students. It guides the reader through the immune system in all its aspects - from the first engagement of innate immunity to the generation of the adaptive immune response and its clinical consequences. The Seventh Edition has been comprehensively updated throughout, and includes new information on topics such as NK cells, Toll-like receptors, AID, viral evasins, mucosal immunity, and celiac disease, to name a few. Each copy of the book includes a revised CD-ROM, Immunobiology Interactive, which contains animations and videos with voiceover narration, as well as the figures from the text for presentation purposes. Janeway's Immunobiology continues to set the standard for currency and authority with its clear writing style and organization, full-color art program, scientific accuracy and consistent viewpoint - that of the host's interaction with an environment containing many species of potentially harmful microorganisms.

Great Immunology text book or reference book October 26, 2009 NTM A must have for immunology undergraduate student. This is a comprehensive book that also contains a detailed glossary.
Disappointment October 4, 2009 Dark Kisa 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was very disappointed in the length of time it took to receive this book. I had ordered it at the beginning of September figuring it would be here by mid month at the latest. Instead it arrived at the end of the month. And if that wasn't bad enough, i never received a confirmation e-mail saying it was shipped and the tracking number.
overall i was great disappointed and will probably never order from this seller again.
Great introduction and reference material August 16, 2009 Brittany Sears (Gainesville, FL) As a grad student with zero immunological background working on a lot of immunology, I finally got fed up with not understanding the jargon and bought this book. It's the best money I've spent on school yet! There are extensive figures and legends that reiterate concepts, and the appendices are bar non. There is an appendix that includes every cytokine, its function, and what diseases deficiencies or knock-outs of the cytokine result in (a life-saver for me!). I highly, highly recommend it, despite its VERY human emphasis and the fact that I work on various, non-model (mouse, etc) species.
book quality not as advertised May 7, 2009 L. Auld 0 out of 22 found this review helpful
book said it had some highlighting- the seller didn't mention that they highlighted and underlined every word in some sections! Also lots of underlining. overall the book was not in the quality that I thought it would be in when I purchased it.
Academic Evaluation April 21, 2009 Victor A. Rios-Barrera (Bronx, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For me, it's the best Immunology book for a course; it's very didactic, easyreading, motivating when you read it. The Chapter of Innate Immunology is excelent as well as the glosaries.
