Product Description
This handy pocket guide gives you the essential orthopedic information you need in class, clinical, and practice.

- The first tabbed section focuses on alerts and alarms, while the following 7 tabbed sections are organized by joint.
- Abundant illustrations galore for specific tests, palpation pearls, pain referral patterns, and trigger points.
- Each “joint” tab features subcategories for pathology across the lifespan, including: medical screening, imaging, mechanism of injury, ROM, strength and functional deficits, and special tests.
- The only non-joint tab, “Alerts/Alarms,” presents additional data from across the lifespan in charts and tables for patient management, medical conditions related to gender and age, vital signs, and abbreviations
- Pages are waterproof and reusable so you can temporarily record clinical data; wipe them clean with alcohol; and use them again

3 out of 5 stars Ortho Notes review   October 15, 2009

This is a good quick reference book that is small enough to fit into any work station. My teacher in school suggested us to get this book, and I couldn't agree more.

5 out of 5 stars Love these pocket books!   April 27, 2008

This book follows suit with most of the other write-on wipe-off with alcohol medical type pocket reference books. I love that they actually fit in my scrub pockets, and that they are waterproof! As far as information, this book is perfect for someone like me. I work in an ortho-office and I'm also in nursing school. It really has clarified some things for me. I also recommend RN notes, Med Surg Notes, OB Notes, and Assess Notes. They are all top notch, and I just listed them in order from my most-favorite to my least favorite. (Assess notes is good, RN notes is FABULOUS. Ortho Notes comes right after Med Surg Notes in my ranks!) :) Thanks for reading y'all!

I love this product. It is durable, and full of useful information. It follows what I am learning in my Ortho class. Very helpful, with great pictures. I plan on taking this when I go on my clinicals.

I happened across this book a year ago and can't believe how much I refer to this book. It is an excellent reference during exams and I find myself thumbing through it during down time. The pictures, quick easy exam tips, easy follow reading and layout are all just a few of the characteristics that I truly appreciate. I always am coming across something that is a wonderful review and or something that I was not aware of. I LOVE the differential diagnosis in each section. Another quality of this book is that the pages are sturdy and waterproof. I'm sure as often as I have carried this around with me over the past year, the pages would have been rather dog-eared if only of paper product.

Good reference book, especially if you are not an ortho person by nature. Wish the print was bigger
