Best math supplement I've seen December 21, 2007 I have been a high school math teacher for a few years now, and this is the book that I constantly go back to. There is a reasonable number of problems per page so the students feel that it is "doable." There is also a great mix of easy and challlenging problems, as well as fun puzzles to get the kids motivated. I always give this book as a present to student teachers and they love it!
Math Teacher Help December 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gave this to a friend who just landed a job as a permanent substitute teacher of 9th & 10th grade math. It has saved many a day and been a big help on those days when things don't go as planned.
A real time saver, easy to use.
A must have! October 23, 2007 This is a great resource to introduce or reinforce math concepts. Well organized and age appropiate tasks.
Cleaver and Helpful July 8, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
The book is organized very well and is extremely useful. The activities range from explanatory to challenging depending on the students level. It is a must for anyone forced to use a boring textbook such as the Saxon Series. It helps to keep the students challenged and interested.
It was worth the money May 9, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
My lower-level sophomores loved the various activities. The students were far more motivated than when working out of the book. Some of the activities are much easier than others. There is a wide variety of topics and the format is slightly different for each activity. It was nice that the students could "check" their answers on many of the sheets.
