Outstanding reference text! September 18, 2009 Benjamin D. Hoshour (Sterling, VA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a Navy SRNA in school right now. I use this text all the time. It is comparable to Miller in accuracy and analysis, but its true value lies in conveying such a huge amount of information with brevity. The chapters are not so long as to be tedious and they have all been updated with the current research. I actually enjoy reading the chapters - they are informative and presented in a a very readable manner without digressing into unnecessary minutia. I heartedly recommend this is a gold standard reference text for the anesthetic practice. The pages are high quality and color and the online access is very convenient. The only two real choices in reference texts are Barash and Miller. Barash is shorter, cheaper, and just as respected. I like Miller, but I could not get through school without Barash.
A necessary book June 7, 2009 Tanau A. Cerqueira (Bahia, Brasil) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This new edition brings color images and graphics. The paper is of better quality and the contents, the most important thing, is the same, actualized indeed. The best book, no doubt.
As expected, as fine as is and was. June 7, 2009 Jinyoung Chon MD (Boston, MA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a well famous known text book for the anesthesiologists, this book was, is and will be one of the gold standard. Much more fine page layouts than the previous edition, and the best part is on-line link up text for the customer services.
no title May 13, 2009 V. Alessandro 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
easy to read; it's a work clinical oriented in comparison to MIller (the last one is fantastic but heavy and encyclopedic).
well done the items concerning mec. vent. and airw. handling.
it's cheap considering the ratio value/price.
it covers all you need in your practice.
My reference book of choice May 12, 2007 Mike (PA) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I use this book constantly. This is, in my opinion, the easiest of all the reference books to read and gets down to the information that I need. I love it.
