Product Description
Sparks and Taylor's Nursing Diagnosis Reference Manual, Seventh Edition offers clearly written, authoritative care plans for every NANDA-approved nursing diagnosis, to meet the needs of patients across the lifespan. This edition is thoroughly updated and includes fourteen new NANDA diagnoses. Care plans are organized by life stage--adult, adolescent, child, maternal-neonatal, and geriatric--as well as by type of care, such as community-based health care and psychiatric/mental health care. The nursing process is integrated throughout. Each NANDA diagnosis includes associated Nursing Interventions Classifications (NIC) and Nursing Outcomes Classifications (NOC). Appendices include Gordon's functional health patterns, a list of selected nursing diagnoses by medical diagnosis, and NANDA International. "Doody's Core Titles™ 2009."

Received book promptly and it had minor defects that did not effect my usage of the book.

4 out of 5 stars Must have book if you write nursing dx!!!   June 16, 2009
R. French (Rochester, NY)
We had a list of books to get while I was in nursing school. I didn't know any better and bought them all at once. Well the nursing dx book on our list was horriable to put it nicely. The teacher didn't even know how to use it! I researched on amazon and this book got the best reviews so I bought it and guess what all the research paid off it is one of the best books for nursing dx!!! All my classmates wanted to borrow it I made them buy their own. Thank God I was able to sell my other book for about the same price as this one on amazon. Sorry for that nursing student. So if you are in nursing school and you want to get 100% on your nursing dx buy this book!!! I only gave it 4 stars because they could have made it a little more user friendly, but I did get use to it. Good luck fellow nurses!

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   June 4, 2009
Lee
This is an awesome book. I have been using it for the past 2 semesters in my nursing program and it is great for when I have to write my care plans. It gives great nursing diagnosis, interventions, and goals that can be helpful for writing care plans. I would recommend this book to any nursing student.

5 out of 5 stars Exceptional Book   April 8, 2009

I was exceptionally surprised at the condition of the book. It is a wonderful asset to my nursing class. I highly reccomend this person for any purchase. They were fast in delivery of the book and it was in great condition. Thank you for being so good with your book and sending it promptly.

5 out of 5 stars Better than NANDA   April 5, 2009
K. Hogan
This book is great! It makes care plans so much easier to write. It was not one of the required books for my nursing class, but an adjunct faculty instructor had one and loves hers...so one of my classmates and I bought one and soon everyone in the class wanted one! This book is so much better than the NANDA book my class and I have been struggling with for three semesters and I would recommend it highly!
