Product Description
Designed to provide students with essential concepts of disease processes and altered health states, this text is ideal for both discrete and integrated pathophysiology courses. The Second Edition has over 200 new and revised illustrations and incorporates a new feature "Understanding", which uses large pieces of art to outline key processes using a step-by-step approach. The text continues to include such favorite features as: key concept boxes, color-coded summaries, and icons to delineate special considerations for children, the elderly, and pregnant women. The free CD-ROM now provides access to three-dimensional animations so visual learners can gain a greater understanding of common disease and cellular processes. The CD-ROM also includes student review questions.

Arrived in Perfect Shape.. but Don't Love the Book Yet. October 17, 2009 WhatDesSays (NY) Arrived in perfect condition. but i dont love the formatting of the book. poor glossary and index. needs more defintions to be a first year book.
Not very good book June 7, 2009 D. M. Nguimfack (WI, USA) Seller did a VERY GOOD JOB, don't get me wrong. It is the book itself that is not so nice to me. It contains many many information and extremely few review questions. 5 questions for one chapter is way too less. The CD content is the same as the web site content, so what is the point of giving both a CD and an online access code if both links contain the same information??????
Very deep and detailed March 22, 2009 D.L. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't suggest attempting to read an entire assigned chapter. It'll take you forever b/c there is so much detail. Instead, first look at the "Key Concepts", "In Summary", and "Understanding..." sections first. Then, go back and look at the sections you don't understand inside the chapter. However, I found myself going more to my microbiology and anatomy/phsyiology books for a less intense explanation.
good book September 15, 2008 Me all day 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This patho book is VERY detailed, but has a wealth of info. In some cases I found it to be too detailed, lacking in others. Overall, a good reference book, easy to understand.
