Great resource for all anesthesiologist October 14, 2009 michael (California) I am a anesthesiologist at an academic hospital. It is difficult for our residents to understand all the issues that they will face during the day. I find the ones that prepare (even for just a few minutes) with this book seem much more prepared. If you need a practical guide to anesthesia, this is the book to get.
Jaffe for anesthesia preparation August 23, 2009 John D. Peterson I used this book extensively as a resident. It does have a "cookbook" format, but serves as an excellent starting point for care of the patient in and out of the OR. This new addition is colorful and is especially helpful because of the on-line access to text and figures. It is nice to have this resource available without needing to carry a heavy text daily. This is a welcome edition.
No better than previous edition July 4, 2009 Mikhail Dziadzko 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There was a great deception for me - almost nothing new since previous edition, for example, remifentanyl doesn't existe, no evidence based data for certains anesthetic managements.
if you have a previous edition, it doesn't matter to buy this book
it can be good stuff for a junior anesthesiologist.

Another Excellent Resource June 6, 2009 Christine Hogan (Atlanta, GA) This book gives a clear, concise overview of the salient features of almost every type of surgical procedure.
excellent information! June 5, 2009 Joselle Leis (Windsor, CT USA) This was very helpful in my studies. I used Jaffe to get prepared for my clinical preparation. I would recommend this book to those pursuing a carreer in anesthesia.
