Very Informative November 22, 2009 Crystal S. (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a must have for any Massage Therapist for use as a learning tool or reference guide. Detailed, informative and the pictures are (gross, but) accurate.
In great condition. October 14, 2009 H. Ridge I needed this for my massage diploma but didn't have the money for a new one. This is a great product and is in really good condition for a second hand book. Great alternative to getting a brand new one.
Essential for the well-versed massage student October 13, 2009 Sonia Margolis (New York City) This book will save you much grief both in dealing with various pathologies and in considering your options. I found it one of the more useful tools that I picked up in my training and it has served me well. A course in anatomy is a necessary prerequisite. Recommended.
Very good book for Massage Therapist August 14, 2009 Trend Well organized and concise. Many pathologies are discussed. The author get straight to the point without a lot of excess wordiness. This is very useful for Massage Therapist. I also like that she has shown photos of so many skin diseases, both contagious and non. You never know what someone will present with on your table, it is nice to be able to identify what is going on with their skin....especially if it's contagious. Also, every pathology has complete indications and contraindications listed.
Very useful June 9, 2009 ShoeGirl 2C (Chicago, IL) I just finished massage school and use this book pretty regularly since I don't have all the patholigies memorized. But regardless of that, I think it's a great reference for any therapist, it provides enough details about conditions for you to understand what it is, and what type of bodywork would be appropriate for that condition.
