Excellent Source August 14, 2009 PJack84323 (GA USA) Very helpful explaining Statistical concepts. As a returning grad student, I found my subject text too general and complicated. "Statistics for Dummies" was an excellent second source. It is very well-written and easy to understand. I highly recommend this text for students and more importantly, returning students.
I never thought I'd say this... May 12, 2009 atty1996 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
...but I enjoyed this book. It is a great overview and refresher of basic statistical concepts. The workbook probably would have been helpful, and I wish this had been published when I was in college. In any event, it was a great refresher, easy to understand, practical and very well-written. I highly recommend it both for students who are studying statistics and for those who want a quick and easy update.
Worth Purchasing April 6, 2009 clay pot (Florida USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product to regain my knowledge of statistics. It has been 25 years since I took statistics in college. This book was perfect for me because it took me from the basics to some in depth concepts such as sampling, populations, standard deviation and margin of error.
I highly recommend it!!!
Amazing Overview February 25, 2009 Scott Donnelly 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great overview of statistics that manages to be very accessible while covering the important areas in depth with some detail. I couldn't imagine a better primer on the topic and it is probably the best Dummies book I've come across. Five stars for sure...

This is a good overview of basic statistics. Amazon and the sender were both very helpful, and I received it quickly.
