The Boynton books are fun and silly, but never sappy. Adults will chuckle, and kids will love to hear these over and over again. The books all have a wonderful cadence that will be music to the kids' ears, and the pictures are very funny. I like to give these books to new parents, because the classics like "Goodnight Moon" and "Time for Bed" just are not nearly this fun.

We received "Oh My, Oh My, Oh Dinosaurs" free during a pediatrician's check-up. My daughter wanted it read to her every night. After 3 months we had to replace the book. That is when I found out about all the other books by Boynton. I am impressed. These books are good for short bed time stories just before bed for 18 months and over.

Sandra Boynton did an amazing job with these books. Of course, in true Boynton style, they all rhyme and have cute illustrations. Pajama Time is my FAVORITE! It's sing-songy and my son smiles when we say, "Pajammy to the left, Pajammy to the right...Jamma jamma jamma jamma, P.J.!" He also reaches out to touch some of the pictures even though they aren't touch and feel books. Barnyard Dance is also sing-songy and cute. The dinosaur book has opposites and is very clever.
My other favorite books of hers are What's Wrong Little Pookie?, The Belly Button Book, The Going to Bed Book, and Doggies. (Although, I like every book of hers I've read.) In some ways it seems like Far Side for kids.

I bought this as a gift for young nephew. My daughter, now almost 3, has and enjoys Boynton. This is a great collection; we especially love "Barnyard Dance."
