Product Description
You’re building a hot rod. The first step is the chassis. If it’s not right, the car won’t handle well. If it’s really not right, the car might destroy itself. There are choices to be made, from frame rails to suspension components, and some combinations will work better than others. Next is the body. This is what everyone sees first. It’s what makes a hot rod a hot rod. This book is a sure-fire guide to the best approach. Veteran builder and writer Dennis Parks walks you through the whole process, from finding and using existing panels to choosing New Old Stock panels from the aftermarket. The Hot Rod Body and Chassis Builder's Guide offers fool-proof advice for building the hot rod of your dreams.

| Customer Reviews: Awesome Guide March 2, 2010 J. Martinez (Santa Ana, CA USA) I am using this book to teach me terms and skills that I otherwise wouldn't know. I do have experience working on cars. This is my first year working on a hot rods at a shop. I am part of a group of guys working to build hot rods for a future club(hopefully soon). Now that I am building my own I needed to be well versed before I start to build. This is great for someone with some knowledge about cars.
Very comprehensive foundation to building a hot rod October 27, 2009 a reader (Tulsa, OK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just finished reading Hot Rod Body and Chassis Builder's Guide. This latest hot rod book from Motorbooks has raised the bar yet again. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, this book is a must have for your hot rod building library. This book offers plenty of practical advice for choosing an appropriate suspension system for the look and ride that you want from your hot rod. It also gives sound advice for resurrecting a vintage chassis or body. Simply a must have for your library.
