2 out of 5 stars NOT REALLY MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH   February 14, 2010
Rebecca Starnes Medearis (charlotte, NC)
I bought this book in preparation for my Praxis II Test for middle school Math..which i have passed. This book seems to be better suited for high school math as many of the topics was too advanced for middle school. I have found the dummy series of algebra etc to explain math concepts better.

4 out of 5 stars Great Help !!!   September 13, 2009

This was a great investment. Perfect tool for this test. I like how it was concise and focus with what was on the test. It was interesting to see some of the sample questions appearing on the actual test. I did pretty well on the test because of this book. Great Help!!!

2 out of 5 stars Incomplete Study Aide   April 20, 2009
Elementary Teacher (Charlotte, NC)
Not only were there small things like typos that frustrated me as I tried to review formulas and explanations, but I felt that the review material was incomplete. Certain topics from questions from the book's practice tests were not even searchable in the index, much less to be found among the review pages. Also, there was no explanation of how to write the constructed-response questions, or even how they would be judged. Any book with practice tests should be able to be just as helpful.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the money   March 29, 2009
Robbie Riehn (Perryville, MO)
I used it and it helped me pass the test. I didn't really study a whole lot, but when I did I used this book. I like that it had 3 tests in it, so that you could practice timing and could check your progress. There were a few errors, but nothing too bad.

4 out of 5 stars Good resource   March 28, 2009
C. And S. Wikoff (North Idaho)
A comprehensive study guide with practice tests. I haven't had a math class in 20 years and haven't been teaching upper level math. I felt prepared by going through the book and then taking the practice tests. I guess I should wait for my score before I review but I didn't leave the test feeling like crying.
