Still learning November 1, 2009 Diane Davisson I bought the book hoping for a good reference manual. However, when I try to look things up in the index, I don't have much luck finding the topics I'm looking for. That being said, I am going to try to use it as a text book and go through the lessons as it is designed. I am through chapter 2, and it did help me solve a problem that I was having with a program.
Pretty Good Book but rather Elementary for Professional Programmers October 25, 2009 LaZeR (Mars) Hi, This book is good for beginners to VB.net and discovery of the Visual Studio IDE. Later chapters get more intermediate and in depth. If you're a PRO then this book might be a bit too elementary for you! Cheers!
Great way to learn Visual Basic October 21, 2009 Todd Temperly (Lake Mills, WI) It truly is Step by Step with actual examples and hands-on assignments. The book gets right to the point and does do anything fancy.
Nice book October 13, 2009 Max Dayton M (NY USA) This book showed me how to make projects for Visual Basic, I would recommend it!
Good guide for beginners August 27, 2009 Brian L. Franks This is a good guide for beginners. The included sample programs help you to understand the concepts more clearly.
