Customer Reviews: Sorting (Math Counts) February 20, 2007 Tamyra Williams (Kamas, Ut USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A good introduction to classification. Great for science as well as math.
Colorful pictures, but..... October 10, 2005 mommyofchristopher (United States) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Lots of colorful pictures, but difficult to explain sorting because you can't move the objects around on the pages. It would be easier if you had actual objects to sort. So, I would recommend using actual objects instead of this book.
Concepts Simplified! August 21, 2000 39 out of 39 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful book to use to teach the concept of sorting (why objects are grouped together in a particular way). I've used this book with my second grade class and they really loved the simple, colorful photographs depicting everyday objects. My two and a half year old daughter also enjoys the simple, no-nonsense text used to explain this somtimes difficult math concept. Very engaging book!
