"Quick" Medical Terminology Guide May 27, 2009 T. Lutes (Holland, MI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy learning for those looking to break into the medical world. This guide simplifies the process in a fast and efficient way. I would highly suggest it to anyone who is planning to take a medical terminology class. This book is well worth the price!
Quick Medical Terminology April 24, 2009 C. J. Riley (Pensacola, Florida USA) This made a wonderful gift for my grand daughter who is an EMT going for her certification to be a Paramedic.
Okay For the price April 3, 2009 R. Straw (MO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I first got my Kindle 2 I knew I would put an abbreviation dictionary into it. I am a nurse who reviews charts. This book is just okay. It is missing some of the more less common medical abbreviations used. I will probab/y use my Sanders on my job. This book is great if you are not as involved in the documentation area of the medical field. Keep that in mind if you order this book.
Good for self quizzing March 23, 2009 B. Black (Downers Grove, IL United States) This is a straightforward book. Lots of quizzes and questions for easy self testing.
Not very complete February 28, 2009 shenry (Worcester, MA) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Although this book has many terms, it is not inclusive. There are many terms that are not included, like a simple LE for lower extremity or W/C for wheelchair. It also has many abbreviations that would not be acceptable in ANY facility, like TOBASH - Take Out Back And Shoot in Head. Although they may seem a little humorous, for those who are not in the medical field and look at this book, it gives the wrong impression that abbreviations like these are used, which they definitely are not.
