Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide Review November 15, 2009 M. Kramer (Dallas, TX) The book was most helpful in helping me to prepare for the exam. In all my experience working as a programmer and network administrator, I've rarely found a book as helpful as this in getting me up to speed in preparation for a certified exam. An easy read and well laid out. I highly recommend anyone preparing for their initial CCNA to get this book.
Best CCNA book out there November 9, 2009 Justin A. Rounds (Troy, OH USA) This is by far the best CCNA book out there.
Excellent, easy to understand diagrams. Relevant, thought producing questions throughout the text.
Lammle also has an awesome sixth sense, while studying a specific concept I normally think up several questions and he nails most of them every time.
It's an easy, fast read. Considering the size of the book, you'd never think that. He covers every topic well and I actually found that with this resource it gets me excited to try out new configs on my rack and read more about topics.
I also highly reccomend Lammle's fast pass book.
Forget all other CCNA books and start with this one. If I did, I would have saved nearly $100.00 on books.
Good start, boring end November 7, 2009 Yuksel Guney Hanedan (A City, Turkey) The book starts very enjoyable but turns into a very boring tech spec book through the end on advanced topics.
I.E. The best part is on subnetting; this is written from a practical hands-on perspective you know; don't expect something pure theoretical.
To pass the exam it must be coupled with a lab study kit in my humblest opinion...
CCNA book review October 12, 2009 K. Atkins-Parker 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book that I purchase was brand new still had the plastic wrapped around it. This book came in handy for the class I'm taking. I have nothing bad to say about this purchase, it was well worth my money.
Perfect for prep for your CCNA September 29, 2009 Michelle L. Benton (Arkansas) I have this book and took Todd Lammle's CCNA Bootcamp. I couldn't be more prepared to take my test. I constantly use this book not only for studying purposes, but also as a reference guide in my daily work life.
The book is basically a detailed outline of what you HAVE to know to pass your CCNA. Todd is very dedicated to making sure the knowledge transfer is there so that you can be very prepared. If you take each tip and note in the book and can subnet in a SECOND,you have every advantage.
I highly recommend this book!
