Dummies not necessarily October 12, 2009 Mushka (Connecticut) I went through this book in a few weeks time. It's a great help for anyone looking to start in VBA for Excel 2007. The projects/examples were very helpful and I've used the ideas to expand on my own to help create some pretty IMO nifty little helpers to my excel sheets. There are surely many other books out there that claim to be good at this or that, but the dummy series puts a special spin on the way they present it that in no way makes you feel like a "Dummy". I recommend this book to anyone starting out or for a semi experienced used who may just want a different perspective on the way to do things in VBA/Excel.
Perfect for Excel VBA newbies. September 6, 2009 R. Singh 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Perfect book for someone who has no idea what Excel VBA is all about! Before reading this book, the only thing I knew about VBA was that it was an acronym for Visual Basic for Applications. That's it! Now that I have read this book twice, I am a confident everyday VBA user. This book is recommended for people who want to 'get in to' the world of VBA. Once you finish this book, you can continue exploring VBA with some advanced-level books. But, for basics, this is THE BEST BOOK! Thanks John Walkenbach!
Clarifying February 15, 2009 Rene J. Davila Cortez (Mexico) This book is perfect for the persons that already know quite a bit of Excel and its capabilities, but don't know the programming side of Excel. I will like to add that this book is easy to understand and very user friendly with the practical explanations.
I can't program January 25, 2009 C. Keil (st. louis, mo) What's not to love about the dummies books? Straight-forward and easy to read. This book like most of the others I've read breaks down a complex subject matter, at least for me, and makes it reasonable. Good addition to anyone's library who wants to brush up on Excel programming skills

For a "Dummies" book, I must be brain dead. Not that easy to follow
