Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
#1 bestselling author Nicholas Sparks's new novel is at once a compelling family drama and a heartrending tale of young love.
Seventeen year old Veronica "Ronnie" Miller's life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alientated from her parents, especially her father...until her mother decides it would be in everyone's best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church.
The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels--first love, love between parents and children -- that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts...and heal them.

4 out of 5 stars Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song   November 21, 2009
Mrs. Sherel A. Knesel
I don't think this is as good as his other books. There is too much darkness in it. Parts of it are the Nicholas Sparks we've grown to love, but there is too much of it that is not.

4 out of 5 stars Nicholas Sparks touches your heart once again.   November 21, 2009

Another Nicholas Sparks novel that fills your heart with multiple feelings - joy, sadness, etc. A good read for a rainy day, a day at the beach or any day when you need to feel better. When I see Nicholas Sparks on a book cover, I know I will enjoy reading another book by him. Give your heart a warm and loving hug and you will not regret buying The Last Song.

5 out of 5 stars The Last Song....truly magical!   November 20, 2009

Nicholas Sparks is such a talented author. I feel blessed to have found his books. The Last Song is, in my opinion, his best book yet! I laughed, I cried (and I mean I CRIED)!!! This was so touching on so many levels. Nicholas Sparks has the rare talent of leaving you wanting more and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book! I would highly reccommend this book to anyone. It will help you to understand your children, your parents as well as yourself!! I have never read such and incredible book!

Thank you Nicholas Sparks you are such an AMAZING author!!! You touch so many lives and your books are truly a gift!! Can't wait for the next one...

I loved this book as well as others by Nicholas Sparks and bought another one for a gift for my sister!

1 out of 5 stars His name alone   November 19, 2009

His name alone is what put this on the best seller list. Just like all other authors he's finally run out of steam. If he continues writing like this he won't have many more new readers.

I couldn't even finish it....there are too many good books out there to slog through something like this.
