Product Description THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN BY DR. SEUSS'S READ NAME. I CAN READ IT BY MYSELF BOOK. VERY COLORFUL
Amazon.com Review "Did you ever fly a kite in bed? Did you ever walk with ten cats on your head?" Such are the profound, philosophical queries posed in this well-loved classic by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel. While many rhymes in this couplet collection resemble sphinx-worthy riddles, Seuss's intention is clear: teach children to read in a way that is both entertaining and educational. It matters little that each wonderful vignette has nothing to do with the one that follows. (We move seamlessly from a one-humped Wump and Mister Gump to yellow pets called the Zeds with one hair upon their heads.) Children today will be as entranced by these ridiculous rhymes as they have been since the book's original publication in 1960--so amused and enchanted, in fact, they may not even notice they are learning to read! (Ages 4 to 8)

Good book, my son loves it August 24, 2009 M. Levit (Boston area) My son really likes listening to this, the last few days we've read it a lot. Though frankly, this isn't one my favorite Dr. Seuss books. It's not bad, but it's just not as fun for me to read out loud as some of the other, that's all.
Classic book August 18, 2009 N. Thomas (Tucson, AZ) Quite a bit longer than I'd remembered, though. I'm sure it will be a big hit in a couple years, though.
A Good Easy Reader Choice August 18, 2009 Shanna A. Gonzalez (Gaithersburg, MD) A rhythmic, rhyming book of real and imaginary creatures, illustrated in Seuss's delightfully engaging style. It is composed of short, funny scenes that are strung together to form a certain coherency as the creatures named become sillier and sillier. After nine or ten read-alouds it starts to feel a bit long for adults, but the short scenes make it a good fit both for rambunctious toddlers with short attention spans, and early readers who will benefit from the achievement of finishing each scene. It also comes in an audio version.
A Bedtime Favorite July 26, 2009 Rozanne Settimo This book (like many Dr Seuss Books) is a favorite bedtime read and it is one that seems to have been memorized quickly and one that started my child reading. The other books also helped, but One Fish Two Fish was one of the first where following along, and counting, started to show. Of course it is a great book in its own right and will bring back many memories to so many parents.
I don't like reading this book, but my son loves it July 21, 2009 Paul Gehrman (San Francisco, CA) This book for me is reading the same vignette over and over. There is some good rhyming, plays on words, and some very interesting creatures. This is probably why my 4 year old likes it so much. Unfortunately, whenever he choose it, I cringe a little bit because there's no real story and, as I said, it's the same little vignette (with slightly different characters) repeated over and over for 50+ pages. It's get old in a hurry. However, since my son seems to love it and I think it does encourage some imaginative thinking, I give it four stars.
