Product Description With a little help from the Cat in the Hat, Sally and Dick observe a small miracle in their own backyardâthe metamorphosis of an egg into a caterpillar into a chrysalis into a bright new butterfly! Along the way, beginning readers will find out how butterflies see thousands of images at once, drink nectar from flowers, avoid predators, and can be identified by size, shape, and color. Readers will also follow the amazing migration of millions of monarchs.

perfect book for butterfly lovers September 17, 2009 mogul (NY) I bought this book to accompany a butterfly growing kit for my grandson. It was the perfect companion to our little science project.
My Oh My--A Butterfly: All About Butterflies (Cat in the Hat) September 4, 2009 Jan Somers My grandchildren (ages 3 and 5) love butterflies; for the past two years they have raised Monarch butterflies from eggs and released them in their yard. They totally enjoy this book; we have read it over and over. Much of the information was already familiar to them, but they learned some new things, too. It's presented in a lively, fun-filled way that the kids love.
Good book for kids August 30, 2009 Brenda P. Golden I would definitely recommend this book for children. Even though I bought it for a Christmas gift so the child has not seen it yet, it explains the metamorphosis process in a very understandable manner and I know she will love it.

Great book! December 21, 2008 Sedexis (Mesa, AZ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is a great addition to our home library! We had ordered live caterpillars and were learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, and this is one of the books that we really enjoyed! This is a great book for school-age kids, but we modified it for preschool age and it was great. I just omitted parts of it to make it shorter and my daughter loves the rhyming and pictures, and there are lots of great butterfly facts!
