| Customer Reviews: Love this Book, Very Comprehensive April 12, 2009 C. Ryan (Lexington, KY United States) If you are an OT working with CVAs this is the book to have. So informative and comprehensive. Covers physical, cognitive and perceptual deficits. I work in a SNF and I bring this book back out when I get a CVA patient to refresh my brain. Its worth the money! One of my favorite OT books.
Book on Stroke Rehab September 7, 2008 Karen Luckemeyer Excellent book for reference if you are in Rehab field. Arrived in great condition.
Stroke Rehab book review August 20, 2008 RYC (Texas) I originally borrowed this book from a college professor and ultimately purchased my own copy during an inpatient rehab rotation. I utilized many books in preparation for a stroke presentation, and found it to be the most comprehensive and useful tool for both my presentaion as well as my rotation. In my opinion, those therapists searching for an all inclusive, function based resource for stroke rehab would be very well served by this book. It has served me well, and has not left my side since I purchased it!
Purchase with Amazon June 23, 2008 Student 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am always very skeptical from buying from online sources. I was therefore very pleased and happy to receive a textbook from amazon that was in mint condition and cost me much than I would have payed in a store. The package was delivered soon after placing the order and they didn't lie when they said "new" on the ordering page. I would buy again from amazon.
A valuable text February 20, 2005 asphodel (New York, NY USA) 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
As a grad student, I'm often scrutinizing the prices and contents of my textbooks. This text approaches the occurrence of stroke from a rehabilitative standpoint. The etiology and functional sequelae are given as a requisite background, but the main focus is on treatment planning and intervention. The authors cite the latest literature in research regarding contemporary treatment approaches, as well as providing rationales for why older treatments may no longer be appropriate.
