Make A World August 9, 2009 V. Welsh (FL) My son who is an artist commented recently that he wondered what had happened to his childhood Ed Emberly books. Thirty years and many moves later they were no longer around. His birthday was approaching so I ordered this book. He was totally delighted. He related that he credited much of his early success in drawing from using the step by step forms to create more complex drawings. He also delighted in introducing his nieces to this drawing style. It was a great homecoming and a "pass the torch" moment from one generation to the next.
Great product for OT February 15, 2009 Genell S. Baun (West Bend, WI) My 9 year old has sensory integration dysfunction and we use this at home along with smelly stamp pads for his occupational therapy play time. Ed Emeberley's books are all classics.
Ed Emberley inspires my daughter in all her drawings and doodles February 3, 2009 W. Proffit (Houston, TX USA) My daughter brought home two of Ed Emberley's drawing books from the school library.
She immediately began to draw little cartoons and towns and people using the books as guides to her work.
When she showed me her work I was amazed and quite tickled to see how well she had done.
She was totally into these books for the time period that she had them. When I looked on Amazon to see if they were something stocked (the books from the libary were quite old and well worn) I was pleasantly suprised to see that they are still sold and in paperback form no less.
For the price that Amazon had them at, the 4 for 3 promotion that was applied, and the sheer joy of my 10 year old daughter, I had to order four of them.
As far as drawing books go, she has never been so pleased.
They are well worth the investment as your child will be provided with hours of entertainment if drawing is one of their favorite activities.
Highly recommended!

Need a drawing book? It doesn't matter what age you are, this is THE book for you. I first found it when I was in elementary school. Now, I teach pre-school, elementary, and above and still find ample use for this book.
It uses basic shapes and lines to create a world. Now I can really appreciate it because with these basic--and very drawable--tools I can help my students to create their own vision of things in a very simple and satisfying way.
You have everything you need in here, from vehicles to houses to plants to people. I have many of Ed Emberley's other books, but this one is the one you have to own.
For the price I cannot think of another book with the color, charm, or accessability as this one. BUY IT!
Fun for all! October 2, 2008 Leslie S. Crawfordfinney Shows how to make simple shapes into lots and lots of differnt things, from scenery to people and animals, simple and cute, fun for dad too :)
