Product Description
So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions. Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal. Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

tempted House of night series November 20, 2009 S. Forsman (FAYETTEVILLE, NY USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
i enjoyed this book as i was hooked after the first one. very surprised at the end.cant wait to read the next book of this series.
Cliffhanger November 19, 2009 Kelly Sturm I was excited for this book and appriciated the different approach. But didn't like the vampire council not having much of a clue about the debochary that happened at the HON, really? Not blaming Neferete for the chaos and repermanding her. What about the death of the Council member that came to Tulsa.(I can't recall her name). I felt the storyline needed a little fine tuning, especially with Stevie Ray. I liked the cliffhanger end, leaving you eager for the next book. I just wish it had more about Neferete and more of why she turned evil. Hopefull we will get more in depth about her, unless they kill her and Kalona, which I am assuming will happen. Not giving us anything about her.I hope Nyx guides Zoey more.
Not the best book of the series November 18, 2009 T. Kea (Hawaii) I was very dissapointed in reading this new installment of the HON series. It does seem like this book was only written to set up the next book. I agree with alot of the other readers when they say that Zoey, with all of her new found responsibilites, needs to grow up. She still uses childish phrases like "poopie" all the time and is still complaining about having 3 "boyfriends". There are so much more important and life altering situations going on in her life but she's still focusing on not hurting and of her BF's feelings? Get over it sister! I've had enough of that entire situation and they need to stop focusing on it so much. It seems like her complaining about having all these boy's in love with her takes up half of this book! You'd think she'd be used to it already by book #5! Also, the group didn't seem as together as they were in the other books. We only caught glimpses of the "nerd herd" in this book. And what's up with the whole Stevie Rae tries to make everyone choose good over evil thing? She is way too focused on her "red fledglings" to even help Zoey in her time of need. It wasn't the best read and although I still enjoy reading the HON books, I really hope the next one is better.
Eh...ok November 18, 2009 Julie A. Rice I guess it doesn't matter what these reviews say...if you've read and liked the other books in this series, you're probably gonna read this book anyways. I was really disappointed with this book though. Like others said, nothing really happens till the end...they really dragged out this book and filled it with pointless chatter. More than half of the book takes place within less than 24 hours after Neferet and Kalona flee. I kept wanting to yell "just get on with it already!" Hoping the next book will be better.
Good but didn't wow me... November 17, 2009 LaFemmeReaders (Brooklyn, NY) Yet again another House of Night book, I wonder how long the series is going to be? I liked it, but I wasn't jumping for joy. However, I do think it's ten times better than the previous book, Hunted. I actually thought Hunted sucked because it felt like it was repeating everything that happened over and over. I was intrigued by the storyline in Tempted because we get to see Kalona's different sides. I also am now in love with Stark, I think he is an amazing character. The beginning picked up exactly where Hunted left off and the storyline did present some interesting twists and turns. Especially the craziest twist of all, the ending! I was shocked and saddened at the same time. I'm not going to give it away because it's just too unexpected. Overall, it was good and I look forward to reading the next book, Burned which comes out April 27, 2010. Merry part and merry meet again! (They say that a lot in the House of Night series for those that are like huh? lol.)
