Beware of Sellers Overcharging for New May 13, 2009 M. J. Bush (College Place, WA USA) I used the grammar and the workbook and now I've decided to retake Hebrew. The workbook was OK. One concern I had was that we seemed to run into words in our workbook that hadn't yet been introduced in the grammar.
When I looked to find a fresh copy of the workbook to take the class in summer school, I was shocked to find that all of the new copies are over $100. As a student, this price wouldn't shock me except that the cover price of the book is just under $23 and it's available at that price from the publisher. Amazon responded that it's not their policy to regulate seller prices, which is fair enough. I like Amazon and I still bought other supplies for the class from them, just don't get ripped off by the unscrupulous retailers that are marking this item up by $80 to $130.
59 year old beginner May 10, 2009 D. Judd (NM, USA) This grammer is very good and was recommended by a good friend who studied under Pratico.
Pretty practical November 18, 2008 James Hsu (CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is a pretty practical Hebrew Language review book.
But definitely it needs a good teacher to go, and to help you as long as
there is problem. So it is not a self-learning book like the Bible.
It is a teaching tool for the teacher, and an exercise book for the learners.
wonderfully helpful October 6, 2008 Amy P. Howard Great tool. Clear, concise, to the point. Arrange in a helpful way, less confusing than other grammars.
Excellent learning tool! March 26, 2008 Jarred E. (N.E. Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a great addition to the textbook. It reinforces the Hebrew learned in the textbook, through translating and practicing the specifics of each lesson.
