Product Description Principles of Finance with Excel is the first textbook that comprehensively integrates Excel into the teaching and practice of finance. This book provides exceptional resources to the instructor and student, combining classroom-tested pedagogy with the full potential of excel's powerful functions. In today's business world, that computation is done almost wholly in Excel. Excel's ability to combine graphics with computation and perform complex sensitivity analysis with ease provides potent insights into financial problems. Despite this, most finance texts rely heavily on hand-held calculators and ignore Excel. As a result, many students find that after they enter the professional environment, they have to relearn both finance and Excel. Principles of Finance with Excel is ideal for undergraduate courses in introductory finance or as a reference for finance professionals. A Free In-Text CD for students contains electronic versions of all spreadsheets in the book.

Best finance book out there! September 17, 2009 Jason This book is perfect for learning finance in excel. There are no books out there that come close to this. The book goes over all the common finance topics and shows you how to solve those problems in excel. The book goes over step by step with the problems on how to solve them. The best part is the cd that comes along with the book. It shows you all the exercises in excel so you can check your work and see how the formulas work. I recommend this book to professors teaching finance and students who don't feel their current class is teaching them what they need. This book teaches you what you need in the real world. Professionals of all kind would find this book useful. A must buy especially for the low price. The book is huge! A steal!
Excellent Finance Book!! September 1, 2009 M. Magruder Not being a finance expert, but wanting to learn important basic finance concepts like Net Present Value, Future Value, Internal Rate of Return, etc. I bought this book because it combined this knowledge with Excel.
This is an excellent introductory book on the subject. The concepts are not easy to understand at first, but the author does an excellent job of explaining them.
The only reason I did not give it five stars is, as an earlier commenter remarked, there are a number of mistakes in the Exercise section at the end of the chapters. Not impossible to work through, but it does slow one down a little bit.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning the basics of important financial concepts.
The Perfect Reference June 28, 2009 Arafa I. S. Azem (Kuwait) I rated as 5 stars book, with no doubt, for may aspects such as:
1- Easy language use.
2- Illustrated with excel, step by step until u reach to the goal
3- Direct to the point.
4- Well Organized.
5- Reference for those who cares about finance subjects.
frankly, When ordered this book by amazon.com, I was less confidence about what it's hidden, as well as the contents of any financial books are the same such as NPV, IRR and much more, but as every body aware that is depend on the writer how explain the subjects.
Professor Simon, has really impressed me about the way that he explained the financial subjects, in addition i like it because each chapters of the book has a conclusion and exercises, for those who like to emphasis their understanding by practicing (Like Me ;)),. (PFE.) very good book for undergraduate and post graduate students as well as people who works in financial field.
the subjects discussed are direct to the point and well explained, however the easy English language used in the book is encourage non- English speakers to get the book and depend on as reference.
Best Begineers Analyst Bible June 25, 2009 Gilberto A. Baraona (El Salvador) Very Well Written and easy to follow, the best book relating excell and Financial Modeling.
One of the best books I've ever purchased! May 31, 2009 Hillel Avihai (Israel) This book is one of the most effective, rich and useful books I've ever purchased.Unlike other theoretically-oriented books, this one offers practical and managerial tool as well as daily use for decision making regarding finnancial dillemas.
Despite the high cost of this book, I strongly recommend is for every person who wishes to understatnd finance calculations and modeling . The Excel software contributes an outstanding output.
