Fantastic! November 10, 2009 L. Mcpherson (Florida,USA) This book it really breaks down the information for you. I would first review my textbook and review from this book for my exams. The pre and post tests lets you know your weakest areas and what you have to do is go back and review those in this book. The best part are the disease outlines, the vocabulary is simple the text is concised. Also, the first chapter explain in details about each lab work and differetiates when is normal and abnormal. I got 91.2 in this class!
Med-Surg Review & Rationales September 6, 2009 Lee HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. It is an easy read and pulls the important stuff the instructor is looking for and condenses everything for you. Any book in the Review/Rationale series is a MUST have for nursing students. It is not a replacement for the textbook but when you are overwhelmed and quickly need something to give you the understanding of a concept this book does that. The practice test & rationales are helpful so you can re-train your mind on how to answer nursing exam questions. The more practice problems that can be done the better it is.
nursing September 4, 2009 Exylena Williams This book was very helpful in my med surg class. Not only do it have questions with each chapter, it also give rationales for the answers.
good book April 28, 2009 Sherry Grullon (nj) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think this book is a good tool to clarify certain concepts in med/surg. It does not include every concept a good textbook will give you, but it does a good job of simplifying other concepts. It also gives you some nursing diagnoses and interventions for some disease processes which is good for careplans. Overall, its a pretty decent book.
Very thorough Review Book April 20, 2009 L. Wildrick 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book came highly recommended from my lead instructor and I will say that it did much to clarify some blurry areas in my med-surge learning experiences. The pre and post-tests are a great tool to get you thinking and combined with the review for each chapter, made you well prepared for class.
