John Murtagh's General Practice is really a great book that covers all the aspects of medical practice with professionalism. It is very easy to read and follow. In addition, it is supported by numerous pictures, figures and table to illustrate the various topics. Moreover, the book concentrates on the commonest and most important cases that encounter the General Practitioners in their daily interactions with patients without going into details even though the Author might mention some vital details if needed for the overall management plan. I deeply encourage all the General Practitioner throughout the world to read this valuable book which will broaden their medical skills to a great deal.

to say that Dr Murtagh wrote a good and practical GP Book is an understatement. it is in fact, the best Family Medicine/General Practice Book that i have read so far. I should have read/studied this book when i was still having my Family Medicine Residency 10 years ago. But then again, being a practicing GP in my home country, and will soon relocate to Oz as GP, i'd say Dr Murtagh's book is indispensible. Nothing compares to it.
