| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The fifth edition of General Chemistry continues the tradition of presenting only the material that is essential for a one-year general chemistry course. It strikes a balance between theory and application by incorporating real-world examples; helping students visualize the three-dimensional atomic and molecular structures that are the basis of chemical activity; and developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Although the fifth edition incorporates many new features, such as macro to micro artwork, six new animations correlated to the text, and the addition of new hand-sketched worked examples, General Chemistry is still 200 to 300 pages shorter and much less expensive than other two-semester textbooks. Dr. Chang’s concise-but-thorough approach will appeal to efficiency-minded instructors and value-conscious students.

| Customer Reviews: Fantastic August 3, 2009 C. Pang (Boston, MA USA) This book is not one of the easiest, but it explains the material fully, and examples are easy to understand.
so so May 16, 2009 Muning Po (Middletown DE) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
too much information yet some explanations are too complicated to understand, few answer keys for practice tests. I read this book cover to cover.. Its so so ... not recommended for someone who wants to learn the easiest way.

Book was in excellent condition, brand new and I got it for half the price that I would have to pay at my college bookstore.
