goos book, but kindle version not the best May 7, 2009 Diana Schaffer While this is a really good book for people who are dumbfounded by statistics (like me), I didn't care for the kindle version. I used it to try and study from tests to see what I had done wrong, but without an interactive table of contenets, I was left to guess what location to start at in the book. I still ended up going out and buying the paper version for easier use to study for my finals, easier to go back and forth between sections.
Great Book! April 15, 2009 xenophon (Pittsburgh, PA USA) This book was really easy to understand and helped me a lot. The author takes what is to most a dull and dry subject (Statistics) and makes it as fun as it possibly can be. The examples in the book are also very helpful in breaking down difficult concepts into language that non-mathematics majors can understand. Highly recommended!
Excellent But...... February 5, 2009 Chuckles (Naperville, IL USA) This book was recommended by my Master Black Belt when I took the Lean Six Sigma exam prep course. As I understand it, there is no better book out there. I had statistics in college and consider myself above average in math.
The book breaks Statistics down into logical segments and presents them as Chapters. There are a large number of questions at the end of each chapter and the concepts are tested for in depth. There are True/False, short answer, multiple choice and word questions.
The correct answers are given for each question. However, there were several times where my mutliple choice answer was correct but my numerical answer did not match. In some cases this turned out to be rounding error, in other cases my application of the concepts was incorrect. I would like to see detail or supporting information for the multiple choice and word questions.
A great book for doing a course in statistics January 31, 2009 C K Venkatraman (India) I was moratlly afraid of statistics all my life and did not do well in it in college. I thought I escaped from stats, till alas, I had to do a course in Advanced Management. My collegue ( an Aussie with a Phd in Maths) recommended this book and I found it excellent as a beginner's guide. A must for all those who break into cold sweat at the mention of statistics ( btw, I did well in the Quanti paper).

Sorry--Purchased this for my husband as statistics is a part of his business class. I am not able to rate the book from a personal stand point. I believe it has been a help for him, though.
