Kids love it! September 12, 2009 G. Allin (San Diego, CA) I ordered this book based on the reviews and my kids love this book. They ask to read it every night before bedtime. It's a really cute story.
Reading independently is FUN with Morris the Moose! September 9, 2009 Garden Haiku Recommendation (California, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Highly entertaining and educational, MORRIS GOES TO SCHOOL will encourage your child to read with enthusiastic confidence. At the library, my daughter (5 1/2 yrs old, 1st grader) saw this book and said "mommy, let me read this book to you. It is SO FUN! We read it in school." For the first time, I was a listener and the story of Morris' first day at school was hilarious. My daughter and I laughed through the pages. This book has made us a Morris fan and as we had fun through his adventures and mistakes, my daughter has become quite an independent reader. The great part is she wants to read it again and again.

Wow! May 2, 2009 trini to d bone (Caribbean) What can I say about this book.....my 4 yr old loves it! It's simple reading just right for her and her reads it almost every night!Would definitely recommend this for little ones who are starting off. It will keep them wanting to turn the page and find out what Morris does at the end! Great buy!
Two boys' review: Morris helps ease fears about starting school December 2, 2008 Jared Castle (Roseburg, Oregon United States) More than anything else, this Morris story helped ease the fears my two sons, now ages 6 and 4, had about starting school. With a childlike innocence, Morris makes simple errors that cause a bit of giggling in the classroom. However, the teacher's gentle direction keeps the other children laughing with Morris instead of laughing at him.
I introduced this book into our bedtime reading rotation prior to my sons starting pre-kindergarten and continued to read it for a couple months after they started school. The book had sat on their bookshelf since then but now my eldest son has found it again as he's exploring early reader books. The book's classroom setting gives him common ground from which to build his reading comprehension.
In summary, while this book is not as funny as Morris' previous adventures, I still recommend this book if your child is about to begin attending school. The story helps ease concerns about the classroom.
