I Loved It November 20, 2009 Shana This is a must read. I couldn't put the book down because it has such great advice and it all makes sense. Steve's being real in this book and I loved it.
Steve Harvey hit home on this one... November 19, 2009 Succumbing to all the hype and hoopla over this Steve Harvey book: "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man," I broke down and ordered this book from Amazon.com over this past summer. My college buddy, Toi, and I decided to read it together, especially since both of us are single, we wanted to find out what men are truly thinking, etc. We needed to hear it from a man's perspective; a man who was secure and open to offer all their secrets.
Needless to say, I was very impressed with this book. I even ear-marked, highlighted and wrote in the margins my little 2 cents, so that I may later read back and either crack up or have a personal "aha moment."
However, I just have one minor critical comment. As an author myself, it was obvious to me that Steve didn't actually write this book, but that it was penned by an ingenious Ghost Writer. Not that I myself is all that brilliant, actually, it's just that the end of the book was written by someone else, as the styles were completely different. Thus, I will deduce that Steve Harvey actually wrote the ending of this book, especially since it could have used some polishing, editing, etc. Now, why didn't this Ghost Writer edit that man's stuff? A real faux paus there, but other than that; a brilliant read.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. You will "laugh" where appropriate; "think" when necessary; and "change" to accommodate.
Act Like A Lady November 18, 2009 K. Atchison Book arrived promptly which was very important as it was a gift and I was going out of town on business. Thank you for the great service!
book review November 16, 2009 Elizabeth Renee Prevette (scottsdale) I haven't finished it - I have found some really helpful information and will eventually finish it - it does however cover more information for those already in relationship/marriage not just dating but still helpful
It's a Must Read November 16, 2009 Catherine M. Smith I've rarely found a book that so clearly helped me understand the male mindset.
Kudos and tremendous thanks to Mr. Harvey.
