Purple is my favorite color and this hip scarf is a very pretty, deep purple color. I get compliments all the time on it and others in my class want to know where I purchased it from. Only drawback is that the coins are heavy and slips down while dancing. You have to tie it tight but I can guarantee if you do, you will be afraid that you would break it. It is so pretty that I was thinking of buying another one in the green or blue color. I don't need it, I just want it cause the coins are so pretty ;)
