Runs Small/pay for return shipping November 18, 2009 D. Lusk (WiiMachine) Lot of astro-turf reviews on this jacket. Anyway, it may be available in "tall", but it certainly doesn't arrive tall. I'm only 6'2", I have a 32 inseam. I'm usually between regular length and tall. This was way too short. Also, I am expected to pay return shipping WITH delivery confirmation. The jacket is thin and cheap looking. I do not reccomend.
Carhartt Detroit Jacket October 19, 2009 Jacket Guy (Austin, TX) I bought this jacket for its classic styling. I don't work outside for a living; I just wanted a jacket I could knock around in and not worry about it getting damaged. The jacket is great and warmer than I expected, which is a plus. The sizing and fit is spot on, at about 25 inches in length, the front bottom hem just covers my belt buckle, which is perfect (I'm 5'9"). Chest size is surprisingly accurate, with my Medium being perfect for a 38 or 40. My only gripe is that the sleeves are ridiculously wide, as if they were made for Popeye or Mark McGwire. As the jacket breaks in, the sleeve width becomes a bit less noticeable. Also, I had to snip a lot of hanging threads with scissors; it is sad when even a company like Carhartt is outsourcing.
Handsome Jacket January 19, 2009 C. J. Diehl (Pennsylvania) I really like this jacket as it is stylish and heavy duty for my son to work in. I't's lightweight and great to use in early spring or fall.
Carhartt Sandstone Jacket January 14, 2009 Jessica Keys (Ludlow Falls, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First I will start with the slightly bad. I thought I was ordering a "tall" size but the jacket came as a regular. And being 6'4" that was not going to work. I will have to say that the ad for the jacket is fairly confusing, but that ends the bad portion. In addition, I scheduled a pick up of the item through Fed Ex, but they never showed up to pick up the item. That is not a knock on the item, but just if you experience the same thing, watch out for Fed Ex. I ended up having to drive 20 miles to a Fed Ex drop location to ship the item back.
The good: Even though the jacket came in the wrong size, both Amazon and the vendor PapaShoe.com have been very easy to work with in getting an exchange for the item. The vendor sent me a prepaid shipping label for it, and an exchange form, and I sent the item back to them. Being a consumer I understand that these things happen and would not hesitate to purchase again. I look forward to when my "tall" jacket gets here.

Great Outerwear Jacket November 10, 2008 D. Mcdonald (Arizona) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This jacket was given to me as a gift and I love it. I was looking for an in-between jacket that I could wear in the different seasons and elevations in Arizona. I found that this jacket performed well and kept me warm at higher elevations when the outside temperatures were around 26 degrees. Equally at 50 degrees I was not too warm. Overall a great jacket and true to the carhartt reputation.
