Yes, as you have guessed from the many reviews, the plastic gives out quite quickly on these. There are similar products made from metal that should work much better. The concept is great, but poor execution in this case.

I rarely leave reviews for anything, but these hangers are garbage. It's a complete lie to say these hold "up to 25lbs". I guess they legally get away with it because technically they do hold....for like 1 day! Almost all the ones I bought have already bent so far that I can't use them. I'm very frustrated because as a New Yorker we have very limited closet space. I could almost undertand that 5 jackets would be too heavy (although they don't weigh 25lbs), but for 5 basic mens shirts to start bending after a couple weeks is absurd. Save your money, go buy more clothes that won't fit in your closet....or buy another closet

I bought Plastic Wonder Hangers from their "official site" [...]. They all stretched out and had to be thrown away (bought half for my Husband's clothes which are naturally heavier).
The "PLATINUM" or Metal Type are what I replaced them with. More in cost, but seem to be much stronger and still holding up.

Customer reviews are EVERYTHING to me I will not buy anything unless It gets good feedback.
Nowadays it so so frustrating you can not talk to a real person and when you finally do get through they are from India. I am sure they are nice people but they really do not know how to help outside of the format they are trained to read.
It is so frustrating. So If a product does not get 100% I will skip over it.
These hangers are made very cheap they broke within days not capable of holding weight. Even shirts & jackets.
By the way I did buy the hangers at Walgreen's where I was able to return them.

We got this product for a wedding gift and all I can say is it's a piece of junk. 5 collared t-shirts and the plastic ring failed. Do not buy.
