Much better than a plain old backpack! November 16, 2009 Dawn My daughter was having trouble carrying her clarinet, books, lunch and basketball clothes. It definately fits the first three but she still has to have a separate bag for her clothes. it takes the weight off her back and shoulder. It rolls easily and is very durable. Both she and I love it!
Best rolling backpack out there! November 12, 2009 John Sol (Virginia Beach, VA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When looking to replace my daughter's backpack every few years, I cringe that the materials or the design will be poor and not up to the rigorous demands of young kids. I have bought inferior ones before and was disappointed with the results - they would never last long and the cargo capacity was small. So after searching and reading many reviews on rolling backpacks, I found this design. Reading the positive reviews convinced me to try this backpack, and knowing from experience with different rolling packs in the past, I just went out on faith that this would be a good pack for my daughter to use and it would actually last longer - for once. Luckily I was right!
OK - function. First, there's the rolling system. The wheels are the right size, not too small. The handle conveniently hides in its small pouch with a zipper - very nice. Then there's the capacity. Out of the box it seemed like there wasn't enough room for all the books, but after adjusting everything and looking inside I found that there is quite a bit of room - maybe too much room! The extra smaller zipped compartments are also a plus, with pencil pockets and dual side water bottle holders. The stands are also a good size and actually keep the backpack stable. It even has shoulder straps that are conveniently hidden away in its own pouch. And last - the material is made of canvas and I know it will last for a long while. I have to say I am impressed with this product, and if and when the time comes to replace it, I will purchase another one, hopefully with more selections of colors or printed designs.
In all, this is a great rolling backpack that will serve all kids in any grade and won't strain their little backs, and give parents a peace of mind.
Spacious November 3, 2009 LAF (Mex) I was looking for a schoolbag for my 6 year old girl. It is spacious and practical.
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH SERVICE October 30, 2009 Betty (New Canaan, CT) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased the 19" rolling backpack and tried to notify the vendor of my desire to return it within 72 hours of receipt via their website. When no response came in almost 3 weeks, I contacted the California office and spoke to a CSR who e-mailed me a return authorization code. Although I returned the merchandise via FEDEX (delivered and signed for by Luggage Point) another 4 weeks passed and I still did not receive a refund. I tried to call the toll-free number on the merchant's invoice and got a recorded message that the telephone number is invalid. Concerned that I would never receive my refund, I googled "Luggage Point" and finally got a valid telephone number. When my order number and other information were given to the CSR, they were unable to confirm the return. I gave them the FEDEX Tracking Number. I was told that "Luggage Point" would send an e-mail to "Luggage America" who would get back to me via e-mail when my refund is credited. It should not take 8 weeks to try return unused merchandise. I am still waiting for my refund! Everything is fine to process an order but it is time-consuming to chase after the company for a refund. Still waiting............
the great backpack October 24, 2009 queen2cstephanie (Lynnwood Wa. USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Is great color and good space, and really like the strap that was inside that keeps the books upright so the bag will not fall over. The putting the bag to tote mode is good yet the unhooking of the shoulder straps is a hassle but found that you can leave the straps hooked up and just put excess into handle slot without unhooking. That way you can put over shoulders and go to the wheel mode without a lot of hassle.
