This style of Levi's has an excellent fit for my athletic body type ( small waist and upper hip, and bigger thighs. It's always tough to find pants. I'd imagine that they would work well for those with a more pear shaped figure. The fabric is very comfortable and they look mighty sharp as well. They have just the right rise, which is really a nice thing these days. They are not too high in the waist, yet they steer well clear of the plumber's crack design! i ordered 4 more pairs and was satisfied. The do run a little large.

Love these jeans. They are sized a little large but after one wash and some time in the drier, they are perfect. My favorite jeans at the moment!!!!

I love that the denim has a little stretch in it and that these don't look like the 1970's Levi 550's that I wore. The thinner fabric feels nice on my skin. After wearing for the whole day, they don't lose their fit. I think they are classic. I have size 8 legs & rear, but a size 6 waist. My size is always a problem when shopping for jeans. I never have enough rear coverage. These are not low cut, so no plumber's crack. They fit me nicely, look fine with sneakers and even better when dressed up a bit with a boot. I'm happy with them.

Now a days they are putting more spandex into jeans. I don't know if they way they weave the demin is different, but I have a pair of 550's that I love to death...fit well and comfortable, but they were starting to look ragged. I purchased these. The fit is much longer and the spandex makes the waist stretch out of shape. Now, that feature may be welcome when eating a big meal or sitting through a long car ride, it's not appealing for general wear.
