Everyone who wrote about reading 'full' and then suddenly being out of gas ought to prompt the labeling of this item as 'fraud'. This has a gauge that reads pressure. You cannot accurately determine ANYTHING about the level of propane in a tank by reading pressure. The only meaningful way is to measure the liquid level in the tank, either having a tank that includes a float device, or the temperature sensitive strip on the side of the tank.
The pressure in a propane tank is generated by the liquid turning to gas as the pressure falls below the threshhold required to keep it a liquid. There are variables for ambient temperature, etc., but for sake of discussion, the pressure in the tank is relatively constant right up to the point where the last of the liquid has turned to gas.
I don't know how a product like this is even legal to sell.

Tried connecting to four different tanks and the gauge read the exact same on all of them. Either I had a defective gauge or the product does not work as promised.

I had my first one for about 3 years before the plastic gasket broke. Without it the gauge cannot seal onto the tank. It cannot be replaced by any store that I checked locally or online. Still, I love the product so much I bought a second one. This time I'll be more gentle when handling it so as not to destroy the gasket again. We grill almost every day and have found this simple device to be indispensable.

I bought this gauge less than a year ago and it failed and emptied my propane tank (luckily I was storing it outside on the bar-b-q). I returned it to the GasWatch company (paid $7 more for shipping) and they sent me a new one. Recently, I turned on the grill - the gauge showed green that there was a lot of gas - and when I came back in 4 minutes to turn the burgers, the bar-b-q was OFF, there was no flame -- and there was NO gas in the tank.
