Great case for rugged conditions November 23, 2009 M. Wade (USA) Knew Pelican was good stuff--but had forgotten how high quality everything about the cases feels. Less than a week after it arrived, found myself with thousands of dollars of camera gear in a leaky boat, with waves building. When we reached the point that even the photographer had to bail & pump, it was great to know the gear would be OK.
Pelican 1200 is the perfect case for Canon 15x50 IS Binoculars November 4, 2009 PDH I needed a hard case for my high-end binoculars, and I found the perfect fit. This case seems like it was designed for the particular binoculars I have. The Pick N Pluck Foam makes it easy to make a custom fit for whatever you want to store or carry.
One Of Those Products You Love For Life October 29, 2009 J. Leutgens (Nashville) I bought my Pelican 1600 case over three years ago. I loved it when I bought it and I still do. I grew up as a Marine Corps brat in a family who always had surplus ammo cans to store stuff in for protection. This case reminds me very much of those ammo cans - tough, watertight and totally dependable. I store the following in my 1600 case: Two SLR cameras with standard lenses attached. Two telephoto lenses, both around 9", a small SLR flash attachment, one Canon HD video camera. One Canon Sure-shot Elph pocket camera, all spare batteries, cables, media and chargers for all the above, and there's still room for a few more small items. I routinely shut the lid, snap the fasteners down and toss it in the back of my pickup truck and forget about it during long trips. I have driven hundreds of miles through horrible weather with this case exposed to the elements with absolutely no issues. The foam is easy to configure exactly the way you want it, and if you decide to use the case for something else later that requires a different configuration, replacement foam is inexpensive and easy to order from Pelican at their website. Bottom line, I would not change a thing about the way this case is designed or functions. It is one of those rare products you'll stick with forever once you have owned one.
Exactly what you need September 18, 2009 Matthew D. Parlane (Columbus Nebraska) I've got some camera gear that I wanted protected and this is exactly what i needed. They make it easy to cut the foam to the shapes you want. I carry a nikon D60 with a 55-200, 18-55, and 150-500mm lenses. Plus I had enough room to fit a little spot for my extra batteries and all. Made of solid plastic. The levers are kinda hard to use, but at least i know they wont pop open.
Perfect Pelican September 11, 2009 Scott Henderson (FT Hood, TX/ Baghdad, IQ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this so that I could take my pistol with me when I travel. It meets all TSA requirements and the pick and pull foam allows me to custom fit it for the pistol itself, magazines, and ammo. I will definitely be a repeat customer if I ever need another Pelican case and I expect I will be as I am considering the purchase of additional handguns as well as a long rifle. Pelican Cases are the best at what they do- keep your valuables safe and secure; along with the lifetime guarantee how can you lose?
